  • Let’s get started! Level 1 is for those wanting to get started but with little to no previous experience.

It is for those who are a little worried about this whole pole thing :) We will coach the very basics in a way that is approachable for any level to get you started on the right foot!

Attire: Please wear either clean sneakers or bare feet to class, workout clothes that you can move freely in, and shorts.: Please wear either clean sneakers or bare feet to class, workout clothes that you can move freely in, and shorts.

  • Moving up! In Level 2 we start getting more height. We will start learning to grip with our legs, hold more body weight, and start making things more challenging.

In this level we will learn things like climbing, inversions, and more complex spin combinations. We will also work on some off-the-pole inversions like headstands.

Attire: Please wear either clean sneakers or bare feet to class, workout clothes that you can move freely in, and shorts.

  • Time to get more air! Level 3 expands more on the grounded moves, and really getting more comfortable off of the ground. We will expand into gripping the pole in more ways – knee grips, leg hangs, hip holds, elbow grips, shoulder mounts and more!  We will also start the basics of inverted bracket holds to start working toward handsprings!

Attire: Please wear either clean sneakers or bare feet to class, workout clothes that you can move freely in, shorts, and a top that allows for skin access to the waist and tops of your shoulders.

  • In level 4 we work even more in the air, inverted, and with fewer points of contact and more dynamic movement. Aerial shoulder mounts, more variations of inverted grips, complex transitions between level 3 moves, and more :)

Attire: Please wear either clean sneakers or bare feet to class, workout clothes that you can move freely in, shorts, and a top that allows for skin access to the waist and tops of your shoulders.

POLE MIXED LEVEL

Through the complexities of learning pole, it's easy to feel stuck between levels. Some of the graduation moves are totally doable, but others feel out of reach or your body just doesn't like them. Don't worry, check out our mixed level classes - in these classes we offer a wide variety of difficulty levels to approach pole moves. This allows you to safely work on hard things, while also getting to explore challenging versions of things you can already do.

  • It's time to play with the things you've learned! In this class we will be taking the level 1 and 2 moves you've been learning, and play with bringing them together into beautiful flows, while of course reviewing those moves. We will generally be working on choreography as well as musicality - come be flowy!

This class is all levels, but we recommend that you've taken a couple level one pole classes so you have more to build off of, but it's not required.

  • Moving out of Pole level 1 or 2 into 2 or 3 can be pretty intimidating! This class will help you bridge those gaps and enter your new level ready to hit the air flying!

In this class you will work on strength and mobility conditioning drills, as well as moves (or baby versions of moves) required to get those moves to graduate into level 2 or 3. Variations will of course be offered and the class content will vary based on attendees and their goals.

Note: You must have taken several pole classes and be comfortable in the level you are trying to level out of - it is recommended that you be able to do a couple spins and your hands and shoulders feel good supporting your weight on the pole.

  • Is there a particular pole move (or 3) you want to work on? Do you want some fun tricks for your level?

Each class the instructor will prepare a few fun moves that have variations for intermediate to advanced levels. They will also take requests from the class (it is recommended to send these to the instructor ahead of time!).

During class the instructor will do several rounds of teaching a move with variations based on who is in class, then walk around and help each student individually.

This is a great class to work on conditioning to work toward goal moves, and to add polish and power to moves you already have.

Prerequisite: It is recommended to be at least a strong Level 2 (can do inverts, climbs, and at least 1 1-handed spin) - contact the instructor ahead of time if you're unsure

Attire: Please wear either clean sneakers or bare feet to class, workout clothes that you can move freely in, shorts, and a top that allows for skin access to the waist and tops of your shoulders.

  • Freestyling, or improvisational dance, is an important skill for all movement artists but especially pole dancers. It is often overlooked due to its intimidating nature. It’s scary to dance without choreography, but growing your comfort with this skill will improve your overall ability to dance and perform! Sometimes choreography goes wrong or is forgotten - if you can freestyle it out, these moments won’t feel as panicky! Not to mention, freestyling just feels good! It’s freeing to let your body dictate where to go next. In this class we will work on cultivating your ability to improvise flow with the pole, using guides such as prompts, music, emotion, props, and more. This is a safe space to dip your toes into the unknown and exciting territory of freestyle, or to continue honing your skills. Arrive prepared with an open mind and heart to leave it all on the dance floor with us. We’re going to have a lot of fun!

Attire: Knee pads are highly recommended. Heels are allowed if you are comfortable dancing in heels already - this is not a technique class. Students are required to only explore movements they are already comfortable with. This is not the time to try a trick you’re still working on, this is the time to build comfort in stringing your current abilities together on the spot!

Prerequisites: At least five Pole level 1 classes taken. This class is not for total beginners, but it is beginner friendly. You must have some comfort with dancing and moving around the pole, and be willing to improvise. You don’t need to know everything, just come ready to listen to your body!

  • This is a level 2 class that focuses on tricks, spins, and transitional moves on and off the pole within the bottom 4 feet of the pole.

In this class we will work on how to transition from move to move seamlessly! We will build off of familiar pole movements, as well as work through progressions of new tricks and spins for every level of poler.

Recommended having taken at least 2 Pole 1 classes before attending.

Attire: Please wear bare feet or clean sneakers to class, with workout clothes you can move freely in. Recommended to wear shorts, but to bring long/short socks or leggings for alternate moves.

  • Have some pole moves that have been vexing you?  This is a workshop-style 75 minute class that only happens every other week to review all the ins and out, tips and tricks, conditioning and prep for upper level pole moves and transitions.

Each class will have 1-3 focus skills/skill areas:

    • We will warm up and review everyone's status on these skills and goals

    • We will go through a series of progressions towards these skills with supporting exercises

    • The coach will assist each student within their current level of these skills

    • Example skills: ayeshas and deadlifts, advanced spin-verts (e.g. phoenix, oona spin), foot-grip poses and transitions (e.g. reiko, K/flying-K, russian split), back wrist supports (e.g. dragontail, aerial tabletop invert), etc.

Students are encouraged to make requests for specific movements prior to the day of class.  Curriculum for each session will be finalized ahead of time, so please send requests by midnight the wednesday before.

  • Want to learn pole moves that take two people? Doubles pole is a great way to expand your pole repertoire and build strength with a fun different way to pole!

We'll do floor moves then move into easy partner pole spins and moves - some relying on a base and flier, some balanced, and some just playing with shapes - and add harder variations for more experienced students.

Prerequisites: You don't need to bring a partner as we'll all trade off, but it is recommended that you be at least a strong level 2.

  • This class is structured to be a fusion of contemporary dance and pole. A flow of abstract shapes, expressive movement, and connection to pole and body.

Pre-requisites: Familiarity to level one moves, at least 2 level 1 classes

  • Beginner friendly!  No previous classes needed :)

In this class we will use our bodies and some workout tools if you have them to build all-over strength - not just for pole classes!  This class is for those wanting to start from a beginner level, with difficulty variations for stronger students.  We will work on the arms and core strength that will help with pole, aerials, and parkour, as well as basic leg and hip control and strength.

Attire: comfortable workout clothes you can move easily in. Sneakers or bare feet both work!
