David Wheeler

Front Desk and Coach (Co-Owner)

David started his pole journey at the age of fifty in 2015. In 2019 he got his certification from Discovery Dance to become a pole instructor and was able to teach a class about six times...before the pandemic shut everything down. Since then he cheerfully teach both Pole 1 and Pole 2, most often teaching Pole one on alternate Saturdays with the beautiful and talented Stacey!

Sarah O'Brien-Gibbins

Front Desk and Coach (Co-Owner)

Sarah O�Brien-Gibbins has been a dedicated part of the aerial community since 2015, when she first began her pole journey in upstate New York. After moving to Jacksonville, Florida, she expanded her expertise to include aerial lyra and fabrics. Sarah has been coaching since 2019 and currently serves as the Youth Program & Summer Camp Director, where she loves working with children. In 2022, she became a co-owner of Lache.

Allison "Sonnie" Boyson

Sonnie is one of the founders of Lache and while she keeps trying to make friends with fabrics, her major specialties are pole, aerial, pole, lyra, and cube. After teaching martial arts for several years, she started pole in 2011 and quickly moved into coaching and then training and certifying others to be coaches. After watching it change her own and many others' lives, she continues to try to find new ways to help more people find healthy fun movement to see the magic it can do for everyone.

Alexa Furek

Coach

Alexa began formal dance training at age three and has been interested in circus arts. As an adult, she became an RYT-200 certified yoga instructor (2020) before pursuing Mongolian-style contortion, which she now performs professionally. She specializes in teaching flexibility, mobility, and beginner contortion, with a focus on helping hypermobile individuals build strength, stability, and body awareness while increasing flexibility safely.

Amy Gu

Amy is a native Austinite who started aerials just after the pandemic. She is a certified bilingual (Spanish and English) teacher in the state of Texas and loves to coach kids and adults in aerials. She loves to help aerial students achieve their dreams flying in the air.

Amy began her journey right here, at Lach�! She has been an avid part of the movement community and has been training and performing since 2018. Amy enjoys working with pretty much every apparatus and loves sharing her passion and creative, flowy sequences with her students.

Andrew

Coach

Andrew fell in love with partner Acrobatics in 2012, and hasn't looked back. He particularly enjoys Icarian pops, whips, and dynamic standing acro dance lifts and hand-to-hand.

Ann started doing silks and sling around 2016 because I wanted exercise that I didn't hate - and I fell in love with it! It's a great waist to get stronger, become more aware of your body, build mobility and flexibility, and a fun time to meet aerial besties!

Aura Moreno

Coach

Aura is an award and winning choreographer and top rated instructor on Classpass. Her first professional booking was awarded from a competition in 2012 casting her on the tv show FROM DUSK TILL DAWN. Her training in dance and gymnastics began at the age of 4. Training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, Acro, Pole, and more. She teaches kids and adults with certificates to teach barre, pole, and now acro.

Becca

Coach

Becca is an aerial coach who has been with Lache since day 1! They have been an aerialist since 2012 with over 10 years of aerial teaching experience. Becca completed the Nimble Arts aerial teacher training program in 2016 and holds a Master's Degree from Texas State University in Therapeutic Recreation. Becca specializes in partnering and aerial duo as well as working with people of all abilities.

Bex Perry

Bex is a gender-bending trans artist, community builder, circus teacher and co-producer of House of Deviance, who has been shaking booty and coordinating chaos around Austin since they walked into their first pole class almost a decade ago. They are Xpert certified in Pole and Lyra, and have taught pole, movement, and dance for over four years. Pole and aerials have been life-changing for Bex, and they are passionate about sharing that magic with every person they have the privilege to teach.

Bonnie

Coach

Bonnie has been training circus since 2016 and has picked up many skills along the way. She now specializes in dance trapeze and circus style hula hooping and has taken her work to multiple countries around the world. Her favorite part of circus is not just learning a new skill but learning how to make that skill �stage ready� and putting it in front of an audience.

Brittney

Brittney has been an aerial enthusiast for over a decade and became an aerial instructor in 2017. Spin City Teacher Training certified, she�s spent her time as an aerial instructor teaching lyra, sling, and trapeze, with a special place in her heart for teaching beginners. By day she develops training and content for learners in the corporate space, which naturally translated to a love of teaching aerial arts by night.

Carla X

Coach

Carla X is a circus shapeshifter, certified Mongolian contortion coach, and multidisciplinary artist. They teach adults of all body types and flexibility levels through a strength, conditioning, and mobility focused approach inspired by Mongolian contortion, calisthenics, and movement science. Their classes emphasize active flexibility, body awareness, and the strength needed to safely develop advanced ranges of motion. Outside the studio, Carla performs contortion, aerial, fire, and high-voltage acts at festivals and events across the U.S. and internationally.

Carolyn Logan

Coach

Carolyn Logan is a NECCA graduate and has worked extensively with Chloe Farah in Montreal. She coaches Static Trapeze and Duo Trapeze with a particular emphasis on refining technique and cultivating balance.

Cierra

Coach

Cierra has been practicing partner acrobatics since 2019 and brings a background in gymnastics and cheerleading to her coaching. She loves helping students build confidence, trust, and strong fundamentals while making challenging skills approachable and fun. A lifelong learner, Cierra is always training, refining her own practice, and exploring new ways to move, bringing that same curiosity and growth mindset into every class. She believes acro is as much about the journey of learning and connection as it is about the skills themselves.

Curt Campbell

Coach Curt has been practicing parkour for over 15 years, and he's been teaching youth fitness for over 20. His main motivation in teaching parkour is to build confidence in movement through fun and self challenge.

Lil Debbie

Lil Debbie discovered her passion for aerial circus arts in 2014 and has been captivating audiences ever since. Trained in a variety of aerial disciplines, including flying trapeze and aerial straps, she specializes in Aerial Silks and Aerial Hoop. She performs throughout Texas and has produced numerous shows within the Austin arts community. A true multi-disciplinary artist, Lil Debbie is also a talented tattoo artist. Whether in the air or in the studio, she is passionate about fostering community, creativity, and meaningful connection through every project she takes on.

I started as a gymnast in high school. Became a coach shortly after graduating and have continued to practice and coach for the past 14 years. And just find enjoyment in teach others movement, body control and strength.

Emily Johns

Emily discovered aerials in 2019 after attending a pole class at Lache, and has been hooked since. She mainly focuses on Lyra currently and works our front desk!

Fadi

Coach

The only time Fadi stands still is when he�s holding a handstand. When not inverted on his hands, he is most likely on his back sharing one of his latest Acro creations with flyers. Fadi�s passion for Acro and handstands, and meticulous attention to detail and technique got him into teaching and he�s been doing so since 2013, from small privates to national festivals. He is very active on instagram as @acromegaman with new creations and flows.

Gabriel

Gabriel comes from a personal training and group exercise back ground. With experience in 1 on 1, and group sessions in HIIT, Body pump, Core-Building Bootcamps, Yoga, and more. He like to be lead with informative, accesible dynamics, positive reinforcement.

Villanelle

Coach

Villanelle is an old goth mom who has been teaching and performing pole dance, floor work, and aerial pole since 2019. They have a pole dance instructor certification from Discoveries Dance. You can find Villanelle teaching Aerial Pole 3 and subbing pole classes, and can also book them for private lessons for all levels of pole skills- whether it be on spin, static, or aerial Pole- as well as for heel work, leg work, floor tricks, and pole doubles.

Jennifer fell in love with aerial yoga the very first time she tried it in New York City and has been soaring ever since. She loves helping others discover their own wings and believes aerial is for every body, including absolute beginners. Through movement, play, and support from the hammock, her classes inspire confidence, strength, and a little bit of wonder. Come fly and be amazed by what your body can do.

Jessica Santana has been practicing aerial arts for over eight years. She discovered aerials during a winter visit to her sister in Champaign-Urbana, where she took her first classes and quickly fell in love with the art form. Together, they went on to perform as the Santana Duo Sisters at city and private events throughout South Texas while Jess also taught at her sister's aerial studio, RGVAerial, for four years.

Since 2024, Jess has called Lach� her home studio, where she specializes in teaching trapeze, hammock (sling), and lyra. Her classes emphasize flexibility, strength, and fluid movement, encouraging students of all experience levels to explore new techniques and build confidence in the air. Jessica believes that everyone has the ability to dance and fly�it's just a matter of discovering their own unique style.

Justan

Justan is apparatus agnostic movement culture nerd that gets down on everyting from acrobatics to zumba. With a bias towards brute strength calisthenic skills, he still streches to establish bendy karma for a future reincarnation. He is always seeking novel ways to move and finds joy in coming up with new combos. He is living proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks!

Kayden Ellason

Kayden has been practicing aerials for about 6 years specializing in silks! She has also been apart of the front desk team for more than 3 years and loves to meet new people everyday! Ever since she started aerials, Kayden has felt one with our community and she strives to make everyone else feel the same.

Kayla Ferrara

Coach

Kayla Ferrara has trained aerial silks for over eight years and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher who coaches adult and youth silks from absolute beginner through advanced levels. Living with sickle cell disease, she is determined to make aerial dance accessible to people of all backgrounds and believes strength, artistry, and confidence can be built at any stage of life. Her classes blend strong technical foundations with expressive movement, choreography, and genuine community. Kayla loves helping students feel supported, challenged, and confident enough to take up more space� not only in the air, but in the ground too.

Laurie has been involved in pole, acro, and aerials around Austin since 2013! They have always loved that this type of movement embraces every body and every person! She loves that it allows for self-expression, self-exploration, and self-care within a welcoming community. Laurie loves to be your supporter and ultimate hype person while you�re in your classes too!

My art specialties are pole (low flow, spin pole freestyle, exotic, heels always, low flow on spin, general flow), pole/chain, as well as sling.

I teach because I love the joy that emanates from my students when I help them nail a move. Their joy reminds me of when I was a student and it is a wonderful feeling to experience with them.

Kat wandered into a lyra class in 2024, igniting their passion for aerial arts. She now also explores trapeze, flying pole, chains, dance, and more! This journey of embodied movement has been literally life-changing, connecting them with their physical self, strength, and community in wonderfully unexpected ways!

Maya Zbeda

Maya began her trapeze act in 2020. Between dance, static, or flying trapeze, you can usually find her in the air. She loves helping students and holds the belief that aerials is for anybody in any body. Catch her for a private lesson, jam session, or stop by the front desk - look for the heart shaped glasses!

Michael Rooney "Rooney"

Coach

Rooney has been training since 2014 and teaching since 2015, and has studied at circus centers in San Diego, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, as well as with professional coaches and acrobats worldwide. He specializes in partner acrobatics, acroyoga, and handstands.

Paul

Coach

Paul began circus in 2010 in aerial arts, with an eventual affinity for lyra and chains, however never quite got over their fear of heights. Much closer to the ground, they began training in Mongolian contortion and handstands in 2013, and pursued further training in Russian style handbalancing and contortion in 2018. Paul credits their coaches Olga Pikhienko, Chelsea Laumen, Nobutaka Mochimaru, and Khazu as having the biggest influence on them as a performer and coach. They occasionally still perform around central Texas with Cirque Vida.

Rebecca

Front Desk

Rebecca is a queer, neurodivergent aerialist who became obsessed with circus after taking a flying trapeze class in 2009. As both an operations manager and front desk associate, Rebecca supports the Lache community through day-to-day management of the class schedule and open gym, facilitating staff and student communications, and taking questions and feedback. When they�re not working, Rebecca loves training aerials, pole, and handstands, hanging out with their many cats, or writing stories about lesbians in space.

Rhys

Front Desk and Coach

Rhys was an aerial enthusiast long before she could walk. Her desire for movement and being upside-down took her from gymnastics and experimenting on monkey bars, into aerial arts when exposed to Sky Candy when she was 15. In 2018 she joined a pole dance company, she quickly fellin love and started teaching and has been dancing ever since. You can usually find her dabbling with a bit of every aerial discipline, spinning on whatever she can find, and teaching aerial pole classes!

Rissa Jackson

Rissa fell in love with acroyoga and partner acrobatics as an adult, despite having no athletic background. Her obsession with acro transformed her into an athlete capable of things she never dreamed possible. She has been training since 2014 and teaching since 2015, and has studied at circus centers in San Diego, San Francisco, and Las Vegas, as well as with professional coaches and acrobats worldwide. She has taught at acro festivals across the US and brings that breadth of experience into every class. As an adult learner herself, she remembers every stumbling block of her own journey, and loves nothing more than showing students they're capable of far more than they imagine. She specializes in partner acrobatics, acroyoga, and handstands.

Roy

Roy has been coaching movement for over 20 years, helping students build strength, confidence, and body awareness through a supportive and engaging teaching style. With a background in gymnastics, cheerleading, parkour, calisthenics, and aerial arts, he brings a diverse perspective to every class. Roy enjoys working with students of all experience levels, breaking down complex skills into approachable steps while fostering a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. His goal is to help every student build confidence, celebrate progress, and discover what their bodies are capable of through consistent practice, curiosity, and a genuine passion for movement.

Rynice Hanson

Coach

Rynice has been pole dancing since 2010, performing since 2018, and teaching since 2021. Her favorite part of teaching is using her musical theatre degree to help students feel good in their movement, and create performances they are proud of! She�s also a science nerd who uses her knowledge of anatomy and physiology for her conditioning and technique explanations. Rynice has extensive competition experience (Comedy Champion at Pole Theatre USA, and Pro Finalist at Pole Sport Organization's 2024 National Finals). She currently teaches Pole skills level classes, pole heels classes, pole choreo, and acro-chair dance.

Shelby Cunningham

Shelby found aerial arts in 2018 and knew their life was instantly changed. Before discovering aerial, they were a multidisciplinary dancer and dance instructor. They have a background in exercise physiology (M.S, B.S., ACSM-EP) and loves bringing this knowledge into their classes. They are XPERT-certified (2024). Shelby coaches lyra and trapeze classes and is also available to teach pocket lyra, sling, flexibility/mobility, and conditioning private lessons by request.

Stacey

Stacey discovered Pole around 2013 or 2014. It is her first love, but she also enjoys all things aerial, especially Lyra, Rope, Trapeze, & Sling. She's also yoga, barre, & Pilates certified. Movement is a lifelong endeavor that she enjoys sharing with everyone from all walks of life.

Stephanie Gregory

Stephanie Gregory is a multidisciplinary movement educator, artist, and performer with nearly 15 years of teaching experience. She believes movement is both a creative practice and a lifelong tool for building strength, confidence, and connection.

With a background in yoga, aerial arts, roller skating, dance, and visual arts, Stephanie brings a thoughtful, playful, and technically grounded approach to every class. She holds a BFA in Art & Design Education from Pratt Institute and has spent her career helping students develop body awareness, resilience, and confidence while encouraging curiosity and exploration.

Whether you�re stepping into your very first class or refining advanced skills, Stephanie is passionate about creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and empowered. Her favorite part of teaching is watching people discover they are capable of far more than they imagined.

When she�s not teaching, you�ll find her creating immersive events, fabricating props and installations, performing throughout Austin, or learning a new movement discipline herself.

Klutch

Front Desk and Coach

Steve �Klutch� Kluchin (or just �Klutch�) is a Partner Acrobatics instructor, coach, and performer based in Austin, Texas. He began his acro journey in November 2016 and quickly became hooked on the art of partner movement, leading him to begin teaching in 2018 and share the practice with others.

Klutch is certified under SeattleAcro, Acro Mastermind, and Progressive Partner Acrobatics. His classes are known for being clear, playful, and technically grounded, combining direct communication, adaptable progressions, and a calm, supportive presence.

Klutch has been a coach at Lache Movement Co. since 2022 having both taught for and lead the Partner Acro program.

Outside the classroom, Klutch enjoys performing, traveling, cooking and consuming great food, and loves sharing the gift of circus with his dog, Haku.

Sydney

Sydney found and quickly grew to love yoga over 12 years ago, and completed her training January 2015. With a strong focus on safe alignment for each individuals unique body and needs, Sydney leads classes appropriate for movement lovers of all styles, from brand new beginners to lifetime athletes. She loves creating an empowering space where everyone leaves feeling how capable they already are.

I found out about Lache through a friend because I wanted to try gymnastics. I started to see all the cool things around that place and I knew immediately I had to try it so I ended up falling in love with aerials, trampoline.. I also connected so deeply with Lache that I work front desk a few times a week and I love so much connecting with people or even introducing them to new apparatus.

Victoria "Vicky O" Obioma is an Austin-based lyra and pole artist, instructor, and choreographer known for her dynamic movement, storytelling, and body-positive approach to performance. With years of experience in aerial and pole arts, she has performed and competed in multiple pole competitions and has performed on the international stage at the International Pole Convention (PoleCon). As an instructor, Vicky is passionate about creating welcoming spaces where students of all backgrounds can build confidence, strength, and self-expression. When she's not teaching or performing, she can be found traveling, exploring new movement styles, and inspiring others to embrace their power both in and out of the studio.

Zoja Exotica

Zoja Exotica is the co-founder and producer of Austin's longest running erotic variety show BONER BIZARRE. They are also a photographer and videographer for Apple Box Arsenal. Their preferred style of pole is explosive (sometimes referred to as "hard style") but they also enjoy teaching low flow, burlesque, and chairography. You can book them for photo and video shoots or private lessons at Lache!

Jenean Hill

Jenean stumbled upon Aerials in 2015 where she quickly connected to her inner passion in her first class, and has continued to blossom over the years. She is ElevatEd-certified (2019) and coaches Pole, she loves teaching and sharing her passion in hopes that others can find their own confidence and reconnect to their bodies with movement.

Justin Lee

Justin teaches partner acrobatics with a focus on building strong fundamentals, trust, and confidence. His coaching is shaped by his training at Pitch Catch Circus and Progressive Partner Acrobatics, where he developed an appreciation for safe, progressive skill development. He loves watching students accomplish things they never thought they could do while learning to communicate effectively, build trust with their partners, and create a culture of safety, respect, and mutual support.

Kristen is a professional dancer-turned-aerialist (and part-time gym bro) who loves to bring all aspects of her dance/fitness knowledge to her classes! She is Xpert certified in addition to her training and work in NYC, LA, and Texas. Her goal throughout her 15+ years of teaching has always been seeing each student grow in their artistic journey.
